Introduction

The product size of a multi-cylinder cone crusher is adjusted mainly by changing the gap between the concave and mantle liners. Turning the adjusting ring clockwise reduces the discharge opening for a finer product; turning it counterclockwise increases the opening.
As material enters the crushing chamber, the gyrating mantle compresses it. Crushing results from direct compression by the mantle and concave, as well as from intense inter-particle compression, collision, and friction among the material particles themselves.
