Quartz itself is a chemically stable mineral with high hardness and no radiation. It is an ideal material for making sand, similar to pebbles, basalt, and granite. However, unlike construction sand, quartz sand is mainly used in metallurgy, glass, and chemical industries.
1. Ordinary Quartz Sand
Ordinary quartz sand has a refractory limit of 1750°C. Its appearance features large particles with a yellow-brown surface coating. The particle size ranges from 5 to 220 mesh, and it can be produced according to user requirements.
2. Refined Quartz Sand (Acid-Washed Quartz Sand)
Refined quartz sand, also known as acid-washed quartz sand, is produced through a complex process using high-quality ore. It appears white or off-white, with a particle size ranging from 5 to 480 mesh. Custom specifications are available.
3. High-Purity Quartz Sand
High-purity quartz sand is carefully selected from grade 1–3 rock crystals and high-quality natural stones, followed by fine processing. Common particle sizes range from 1–0.5 mm, 0.5–0.1 mm, and 0.1–0.01 mm. Custom sizes are also available upon request.
A complete quartz sand production line typically includes equipment such as jaw crushers, cone crushers, sand making machines, and feeders. While individual machines are not expensive, the total investment for a full production line generally ranges from several hundred thousand to over one million RMB, depending on capacity and automation level.
